Acres - A Guinea Pig Sanctuary began in 2005 upon moving to
rural Casper, Wyoming. We are a family run sanctuary on fourteen acres
for homeless guinea pigs and a number of rabbits. The need
for animal
sanctuaries and rescues in Wyoming was and still is great.
Upon see
the number of guinea pigs and rabbits left homeless in our local high
kill pound we decided to give these creatures a permanent
home. We
take animals from all over Wyoming and occasionally other
states. Many
are in bad conditions from neglect or just plain abuse .
Seeing these
animals recover to live happy lives brings our family great
pleasure.
It puts what's important into perspective.
